    New Day to Celebrate 50 Years of Excellence



Poughkeepsie NY, May 21, 2013 - This year New Day Repertory Company will celebrate its Golden Jubilee – that's 50 years of theatre excellence. To celebrate this momentous occasion, a number of special events are being planned under the theme "New Day @ 50". NY Senate Terry Gipson, Dutchess County and Mayor Tkazyik, will declare formal proclamations in acknowledgement of New Day's influence and contribution to the soio-economic and cultural fabric of Poughkeepsie and the Mid Hudson Valley. The celebrations begin June 21st with a reception. This is a befitting occasion for the Mid Hudson general public, corporations and their staff, board of directors and staff of associations and organizations, students, staff, alumnis, well-wishers and all different levels of governmental bodies to join in the celebration of this glorious journey.



What: New Day @ 50: A Celebration
New Day Repertory Co will open its golden jubilee celebration with a Reception to be followed by a performance of the hit play "Home" by Sam Art Williams. The play will be directed by acclaimed director, Jerry Maple Jr.



When: June 21, 2013  at 6:30pm for the Reception and 8pm for the play. (The play 'Home" by Sam Art Williams runs June 21- 30)
